Technical Q & A
|
| Question: My scissors are becoming
dull and the blades seem to be rusting. What can I do? |
Answer: It is VITALLY IMPORTANT that
scissor blades be kept opne during sterilization, and the
blades be wiped dry IMMEDIATELY after the sterilization cycle.
Failure to do so will cause dulling of the blade edges and
possible rusting as well. |
| Question: Do you sharpen scissors, or
is there a company you recommend? |
Answer: We do not offer a sharpening
service, nor are we aware of any cost effective companies that
will sharpen dental scissors. You can try sharpening the
scissor yourself by purchasing a very fine grain sand paper
(300 grit or higher) from your hardware store. Use the scissor
to cut the sand paper with the scissor. This should sharpen
your blades. |
